Ultra-Archaea® Bioremediation
Safe, Versatile, Proven Bioremediation
Ultra-Archaea digest hydrocarbon and other organic molecules and break them down into harmless byproducts of carbon, carbon dioxide and lipids (a natural, soluble fatty material that is food for fish and plants). The more complex the hydrocarbon, the longer the process takes. Infuses 5 to 90 billion archaea per gram into an oil spill, greasy catch basin, oil/water separator, etc. Within hours these archaea reproduce from billions per gram to trillions.

Ultra-Archaea® — bioremediation
100+ naturally-occurring archaea species cultivated from extreme environments. Non-GMO, non-pathogenic, EPA-listed — remediates hydrocarbons, PAHs and chlorinated solvents at the molecular level.

What It Remediates
Characteristics & Properties
100+ Naturally Occurring Species
Consortium of aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative anaerobic archaea
Non-GMO & Non-Toxic
100% natural, not genetically engineered. Non-pathogenic.
EPA Listed Since 1991
Listed on the US EPA National Contingency List
Extreme Climate Tolerance
Cultivated from rugged environments such as undersea vents or volcanic activity sites
Rapid Reproduction
5 billion microbes per gram, doubles every 20 minutes to trillions
Self-Terminating
Colony naturally dies off after ~90 days when deprived of food
Multiple Product Forms
Available in shaker form, tablets, booms, bags, and packets — all with a five-year shelf life
Phage Resistant
Lacks receptors for phages, reducing potential risks of virulent gene transfers to animals and humans
Safe for All Life
Safe for use around people, plants, and animals — aquatic or land
Benefits
Restoring contaminated soils across the region
Ultra-Archaea's native-strain microbial consortia have been deployed at oil spill sites, refineries, and large-scale developments like AMAALA / Red Sea Global — restoring soil quality without excavation. The microbes consume hydrocarbons aerobically, anaerobically, and facultatively across more than 100 compound classes, leaving harmless byproducts in a fraction of the time of conventional remediation.

Applications
- Wastewater Treatment Plants (industrial & municipal)
- Septic tanks, Grease traps, Sumps, Lagoons

BP Deepwater Horizon Results
Ultra-Archaea were the best performing product tested by Louisiana State University against BP Deepwater Horizon crude oil.
- Best performing product overall
- Only product to remove 98.5% of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons
- Total average remediation of 99.8% in all categories
- Tested by Ralph J. Portier, Ph.D., August 2011
Proven Performance
Tested by Louisiana State University against BP Deepwater Horizon crude oil — the highest performing bioremediation product on the US EPA National Contingency List.
Consortium of aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative anaerobic archaea — among the oldest living organisms on Earth. Non-GMO, non-toxic, and non-pathogenic.
After ~90 days or when deprived of food, the microbe colony naturally dies off, allowing indigenous microbes to return to pre-contamination levels.
